Live Music: Alex Dunn and Blair Borax

  • Fenceline Cider 141 S Main Street Mancos United States (map)

ALEX - Reformed commercial fisherman and singer-songwriter Alex Dunn recently left Seattle and relocated to the rural outskirts of Aztec, New Mexico. Dunn uses his own personal blend of Folk/Americana to reflect on the many lives he's led, from his youth along the border of Colorado and Wyoming to the quiet moments aboard commercial fishing vessels in the remote waters of Southeast Alaska. Melodic sawdust and salt air, his music breathes with a sense of place, yet is imminently accessible and speaks to the universal.

BLAIR - Portland-based singer-songwriter Blair Borax writes tender folk-pop songs to make you feel less alone. With vocal stylings reminiscent of 1920s jazz, songwriting that is unafraid to tackle the taboo, and pop melodies that stay with you for days, Blair has something special to offer. She conjures a vocal charm somewhere in between Regina Spektor and First Aid Kit, wordsmithing inspired by folk songwriting greats like John Prine, and tender vulnerability akin to Haley Heynderickx and Big Thief’s Adrienne Lenker. After releasing her debut album “Keep Walking” in June 2022, she is planning to release her sophomore record “Tender Lately” this year.
