My name is Forrest McCurren. I'm a Missourian, an enthusiastic dancer, and a singer-songwriter. In the last year and some change we’ve played nearly 100 shows from Duke’s in Indianapolis to The Mercury Lounge in Tulsa to Jack’s Shack in Tightwad (all great venues but you can only smoke inside one of them). As a writer and storyteller, I pride myself on an engaging live performance, through stories and side notes, that allows folks into the world that my songs live in. One of the compliments that I carry in my back pocket was along the lines of having the showmanship of Todd Snider, the songwriting of John Prine and the rowdy-raspiness of Ryan Bingham. All three of those guys are heroes and those attributes are something I aspire to. I recorded my debut album with the great Wes Sharon of 115 Recording (Turnpike Troubadours, John Fullbright, Parker Millsap if you're hip to those Americana studs) that will be released August 2022.
